FAQ

What is the price of a bespoke course?

It will depend on the course, a basic day rate is £200/day, but this will go up depending on how advanced the course is, eg. a weekend top roping will be cheaper than a learning to lead course. Prices will be finalised once the number of participants & the course syllabus is decided.

What kit do I need?

All equipment can be provided, it is encouraged that you also bring any of your own kit, as this allows for good discussion and familiarisation of your own equipment. A kit list is provided once courses are booked.

What if it rains?

A classic question for the UK. Depending on how bad the weather is will determine if the course goes ahead, in North Wales the weather has to be pretty terrible not to be able to find some rock in good enough conditions. There is also the option of taking the course indoors but this will be discussed with you.

What about booking, cancellation, refunds?

In short, a 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking onto a course. If the course has been confirmed and the start date is more than 6 weeks away we will refund up to 50% of the deposits. Within 6 weeks the deposit is non-refundable. If you opt to pay the full course fees at the time of booking, you will receive up to 75% of the full amount paid if cancellation happens more than 6 weeks prior to the start date of the course. If you cancel within 6 weeks then you shall receive a 50% refund.

Where do we stay? Who organises it?

The choice is yours, you organise it, there are many accommodation options, if you need help finding somewhere please ask for advice when booking your course.

I don't drive but want to come on a course, what are my options?

If you can find your way to the area the course is being run, I am more than happy to pick up & drop off clients from accommodation and/or bus/train stations. There may be an additional fee to cover cost of fuel.

Where are the courses run?

Predominately in North Wales as there are so many venues & weather options, plus so many different types of rock. However courses can be run at any appropriate venue in the UK or Europe.
